GF-Hatchery™ have been founded in 2021 by the entrepreneurs Johan Ljungquist and Mikael Olenmark. It is a part of the Swedish aquaculture company Gårdsfisk®. Gårdsfisk® was founded in 2013 by the water-loving salesman and the technically brilliant "designer" who developed a concept of fish farming on land.

After being a Til-Aqua International and Fleuren & Nooijen customer for several years, our company decide to have our own hatcheries to raise fish close to the production site and lower our environmental impact. By choosing Til-Aqua International and Fleuren & Nooijen genetics, we can ensure a good quality fish.

 

In December 2020, Gårdsfisk® signed an agreement with Til-Aqua International for the transfer of  Tilapia YY breeders for red and silver strains. We are the only European company disposing of YY genetic broodstock.

In September 2021, Gårdsfisk® signed an agreement with Fleuren & Nooijen for the transfer of African catfish breeders.

So far, Gårdsfisk® is proud to offer their African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) from Sweden to worldwilde consumers.
